Why good headshots matter
Your photo gets there first
Before any audition, people look at your photos. Good headshots look like you today, show what you can play, and make people want to meet you.

Agents
To approach an agent, you need a varied set: a close-up, a wider shot, several expressions. Enough for them to picture you in different roles.

Your online profiles
Casting platforms, CV, website, social media: the same photos follow you everywhere, in France and abroad. They might as well be great, and up to date.
The shoot
What's included
You pick your package, the rest is included. No hidden fees: everything is shown, in euros, before you pay.
- Preparation with me: your project, the parts you're going for, the location, the outfits.
- The outdoor shoot, in natural light, directed from start to finish: poses, eyeline, expressions.
- Online selection in your client space, with your friends' opinion if you like.
- Classic retouching (light, colour): a natural look, because casting directors want to see your real face.
- Your photos in high resolution, to download from your client space.
- The right to use them for your portfolio, your castings and agents.
- Travel within Paris and the inner suburbs.
- Everything in English: I direct the whole shoot in English, and booking, payment, your client space, the pre-shoot questionnaire and the emails you receive are in English too.

Three things I do to make life easier for you, before and after the shoot.

Book and pay online
You pick your package and time slot on the website. You pay a 30% deposit by card, or the full amount straight away, by card or in instalments with Klarna (for individuals). I confirm your booking within 48 hours: if I can't, you get a full refund.

Choose with your friends
Your photos arrive in your client space. You heart the ones you like, and send a link to friends and family: they leave their own hearts, in blue. Only you choose and confirm.

Your Talent page, free
After your shoot, ask from your client space for a page in your name on the website, with your photos, to send to agents and casting directors. Free, published only with your consent, taken down whenever you want.

Everything happens online, in your client space: you always know where things stand.

Preparation
We talk before the shoot: what you want, the parts you're going for, the location, the outfits. A short questionnaire helps you get ready.

The shoot, in Paris
Outdoors in natural light, in the 19th or anywhere in Paris. I direct you, we take our time, we try things out.

Online selection
Within 5 working days of the shoot, your photos arrive in your client space. A heart for the ones you like, a star for the ones I retouch. You have 5 days to confirm.

Retouching
Light and colour, for a natural look. Your retouched photos arrive as previews within 72 hours of your confirmation.

Delivery
Once the balance is paid, online or by bank transfer, you download your photos in high resolution. They stay in your client space for 30 days.

The 19th
My playground
I'm based in the 19th arrondissement, a great area for headshots: the paths of the Buttes-Chaumont, the streets of Belleville, the Bassin de la Villette and the Canal de l'Ourcq, around Jaurès. Varied settings a few minutes' walk apart, close to the drama schools of the 19th: handy between two classes.
Prefer another neighbourhood? I travel anywhere in Paris and the inner suburbs, at no extra cost.

How many photos do I get?
It depends on your package: 15 retouched photos with Essential, 30 with Comfort, 70 with Immersion. You choose them yourself from the photos of your shoot. Need more? You can add 5 to 30 extra photos as an option when booking.
How long is the shoot?
1, 2 or 5 hours depending on the package. For actor headshots, I recommend Comfort (2 hours): time to change outfits and locations, and vary your expressions without rushing.
What should I wear?
No special outfit needed. For headshots, go for simple, plain clothes in neutral tones, without big logos or busy patterns: people should see your face before your clothes. You can bring several outfits to suggest different roles: we'll talk about it while preparing.
When do I get my photos?
Within 5 working days of the shoot, your photos arrive in your client space for selection (you have 5 days to confirm it). Your retouched photos arrive as previews within 72 hours of your confirmation. You download them in high resolution as soon as the balance is paid, online or by bank transfer, and they stay available for 30 days.
Can the shoot be in English?
Yes: I direct the whole shoot in English. Booking, payment, your client space, the pre-shoot questionnaire and the emails you receive are in English too. Only the terms and conditions and the legal notice are in French.
What is the Talent page?
A page in your name on studio-vives.fr, with your photos, to send to agents and casting directors. It's free. You ask for it from your client space after your shoot (18 and over). It is only published with your consent, you see it first, and you can take it down whenever you want. See the Talent pages.
How does payment work?
You book online by paying a 30% deposit by card, or the full amount straight away, by card or in instalments with Klarna (for individuals, subject to Klarna's terms). I confirm your booking within 48 hours: if I can't accept it, you get a full refund. The balance is paid from your client space when your retouched photos are ready, online or by bank transfer. All prices are in euros.
Is the shoot indoors or outdoors?
Outdoors, in natural light: in the 19th, elsewhere in Paris or in the Île-de-France region. Travel is included within Paris and the inner suburbs; beyond that, a travel fee applies and I tell you the amount before any payment. For a plain indoor background, pick the studio option with the Essential package (+€80): I rent a studio for your session, booked at least 7 days ahead.
Can I send my photos to agents?
Yes, that's what they're for: portfolio, applications, castings, CV, website, social media. You can send them to agents, and the agency that represents you can use them to present you (its book, its website, its submissions to castings). Only advertising for a brand needs a separate agreement. When possible, add the credit “© Studio Vives”. Details are in the terms and conditions (in French).
